Cookies
There is no cookie banner on this site. That is not an oversight: there is nothing here to consent to.
What we set
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| A session cookie | It is how the site knows you are signed in. It is first-party, HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite, so it cannot be read by JavaScript and does not travel to anybody else. | Thirty days, or until you sign out. |
| A cross-site request token | It stops another website submitting a form on this one while you are signed in. | The length of your session. |
| A little browser storage | Two small conveniences kept on your own device and never sent to us: a booking you are halfway through filling in, so a refresh does not lose it, and whether you have dismissed the notice at the top of the page. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
What we do not set
- No advertising cookies, and no advertising pixels from anybody.
- No analytics cookies. We do not currently measure visits at all.
- No third-party embeds that set cookies: no maps iframe, no social feed widget, no video player from another site.
- No A/B testing, no session recording, no heatmaps.
Why there is no banner
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require consent before setting anything that is not strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for. A sign-in cookie, a cross-site request token and a half-finished form on your own device are all strictly necessary. Analytics and advertising are not — and there are none here.
A banner that asks you to consent to nothing is worse than no banner: it trains people to click through consent without reading it. If we ever add measurement, it will be a cookieless, privacy-preserving one — or it will arrive with a real banner where rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting, and this page will say so on the same day.
One thing worth mentioning
The three typefaces this site uses are served by Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to fonts.gstatic.com when a page loads. That request sets no cookie. It is the only request this site makes to anybody other than us.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you see and delete cookies, and blocking them for this site is fine — you simply will not be able to stay signed in, which means no account, no tickets and no booking. Nothing else on the site depends on one.
The privacy notice sets out everything else we hold and what you can do about it.
